Aparticipação do Brasil na mostra internacional MIAC II, foi coordenada pelo CCBU.
As artistas brasileiras, Eleonora Goretkin e Silvana Soriano, representarão o Brasil na mostra.
The second edition of the Miami International Art Cocktail, the MIAC, will be taking place at the Main Library April 30 June 6.
As a vibrant multi-cultural city, Miami hosts many consulates, foreign cultural centers and foreign artists. The Miami International Cultural Alliance (MICA), created in 1999, is a not-for-profit organization whose principal goal is to acquaint South Florida residents with artistic endeavors of foreign countries and their contributions to Miami’s cultural scene. Many of MICA members are cultural attaches of consulates based in South Florida and representatives of local foreign cultural centers. Members meet regularly to exchange information and organize cultural events. One such event is an art exhibit called the Miami International Art Cocktail (MIAC).
The second MIAC, titled Enchanting the Limits, will take place at the headquarters of the Miami-Dade Public Library System in the Downtown’s Cultural Plaza address. The MIAC show will be presented simultaneously with the Library’s extremely successful annual event, the International Art of Storytelling. New countries such as Mexico and The Netherlands will be represented in the exhibition and the MIAC will feature a large diversity of media: drawings, paintings, photographs, videos, sculptures.
Open to the public from April 30 to June 6 2010, the MIAC program will include special events such as a roundtable discussion with the artists.
